Freezing and Thawing

Freezing:

Pre-slice or put entire loaf in the freezer for maximum of 45 days.

Thawing instructions:
1. Thaw out your loaf on the counter for 4-8 hours.

2. Preheat your oven to 350-400*°F.

3. Water your loaf from all sides for about 5 seconds.

4. Pop it into the oven and bake for 10-15* minutes.

5. The goal here is to reach crunchy bottom! If it’s still wet - add more time.

6. 🎉DONE🎉

We put a lot of love and effort into fermenting this loaf for over 8 hours! We will take the havy lifting of wholesome sourdough baking for you so all there is left to do is to pop it in the oven and enjoy. ❤️

*temperature and baking time depends on amount of moisture on your loaf and power of oven. We suggest to start from 350°F for 15 min or 400°F for 10 min. If needed - add 5-10 more min.

My take

I liked this bread, but it was a bit too dry. I managed to "fix" that by making it wet and re-baking it briefly in my toaster oven.

The "buckwheat (white)" I had ordered at the same time had the right consistency and I liked it very much. I'd have liked it even better if the rice flour would have been from brown rice, for it's higher nutritional value.

I really enjoyed the baguette - I toasted it and ate with GF Pasta. I also made a french bread pizza. The bread was very fresh and it wasn't sour. I really enjoyed it

Fantastic Sour Dough - Awkward Ordering

The sourdough baguette was absolutely amazing. We served it at a party and everyone loved it. My only issue was with the ordering process / website. It is not clear that when you start to place an order that you can choose a location for free pick up. This would probably help your online orders. It was also unclear when i would get my order. The website said it would be available between Tuesday and Thursday. I didn't get an update or any communication, so as of 3PM on Thursday so I had to call the store where I was picking up the order to check on it. After they reached out and called me back, I found out my order would be ready on Friday. Would be nice if you listed your phone number so customers could reach out to you. That was super frustrating as I had a dinner party on Friday. Please enhance your order communication - I want to order again but need assurance I will get my order when I need it.
